a little bit about me
My first love for sports and fitness came through football, playing almost every opportunity I had at a young age. During my primary and into my high school years, I found I had a talent for cross country running. Competing in every competition for my schools and eventually training with Southport and Waterloo AC before my interests fell to weight training.
My passion for physiology and exercise started at a young age when I lifted my first set of weights. Determined to build on my own physique and further my knowledge on the benefits of exercise, I changed my area of study from business and embarked on a Sport and Exercise Science degree at Edge Hill University. Alongside my studying I currently work with Mo as a personal trainer, in helping people achieve their goals. Recently my love for running has come back to me and I am running my first marathon in May this year.
I am joining the explore2cure team in memory of my Grandma who passed away from Leukemia when she was just 49 years old. I also want to support my step Nan who is currently battling her second fight of ovarian cancer. This angers, but inspires me to help this team!
