All of us will experience the devastating effects of cancer at some point in our lives, whether as a direct sufferer, a relative or a friend. The heartbreak it causes stays with us forever. My Grandma was suffering from ovarian cancer that had metastasised to several other locations by the time she passed.

But I guess there is hope… More people are surviving cancer now than ever before. Cancer research is leading to better diagnoses, better personalised treatments and earlier identification. However, this all relies on good hearted people providing the funding for this to happen.

I have been training with Mo for a little while now and what he is aiming to achieve is admirable. I am climbing the three peaks to show my support for Mo and to help raise more money for cancer research and Macmillan so we can continue to increase the rates of survival.
