a little bit about me
Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. The sad reality is that everyone at some point in their lives is going to be touched by this awful disease, whether it be themselves, a family member or friend. Thanks to amazing charities like Cancer Research and Macmillan, cancer survival is improving and support is better than ever.
My life has been touched more than once by cancer. I lost my Grandad Joe and Great Grandad Fred to stomach cancer and my Grandad Brian to Bowel cancer.
In 2014 I was struck down by meningitis, another horrible disease, which has left me with permanent life changing conditions. I have grown to realise that life is far too short not live each and every day to its fullest and make the most amazing memories along the way. This is why I decided to join Mo and his team of fundraisers. The Three Peaks Challenge is a first for me, it will be a real personal challenge and achievement, one to tick off the bucket list whilst raising money for such worthy causes.
